ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AT DENNEGEUR

As a family, we have always taken care of the natural areas of our farm and strived to achieve the highest levels of environmental management best practice in our production processes. Over the past few years however, as market and consumer expectations have become more technical and specific regarding environmental management requirements, Dennegeur has significantly increased its strategic focus on environmental management.

Assisted by environmental management experts, we have developed an Environmental Management System that is modelled on ISO14000 standards and includes:

• a Company Environmental Management Policy,
• an Environmental Risk Register for all production and support processes on the farm,
• an Environmental Management Strategy
• a Biodiversity Management Strategy
• and an Annual Environmental Management Plan that includes environmental and biodiversity management actions against budget, key performance indicators and targets.

Having thoroughly assessed our environmental risks within the context of our broader business strategy, the team is now ready to move forward, confident that we are implementing environmental management activities that effectively address the impacts of our specific business activities on the unique ecosystems on our farm.
