The Dennegeur Foundation runs a creche, daycare, and aftercare for the children of our employees.

With a focus on a wholistic approach to education and development, the little ones enjoy a good work-play balance in between meals and nap times!

We are proudly partnered with the Rural Arts Network (RAN) that aims to make the creative arts more accessible to youths in rural communities, and fostering the potential of these young stars!

Our Cooking Program aims to equip our people with the necessary skills to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for their families with recipes that utilise ingredients they can afford.

As part of the program, attendees learn entrepreneurial skills, including costing and marketing, to develop their ability to turn their cooking skills into business opportunities.

The self proclaimed Granny Smiths are a group of retired ladies from our community, for whom we facilitate various activities and outings, including needlework and other creative classes.

The needlework program gives the opportunity to the workers and children to learn how to do basic needlework, the 2 classes are in fact very far beyond learning basic needlework. ​

By selling their products we strive to make this a self-sustainable project.​

Our holistic approach to healthcare culminates in our Dennicare Clinic, which provides both physical and mental healthcare solutions to our employees and the families on our farm.

These include diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, guidance for prevention, and referrals to dentists and other medical practitioners when necessary

Our Outdoor Gymnasium is available to all our staff and their children, and was constructed to motivate our community to be active and care for their physical health.

Our Cycling Program is part of our initiative to promote active lifestyles, aimed at the children in our community.

These children who would otherwise not have access to bicycles or protective gear, not only get the opportunity to exercise, but also visit pensioners on their bike rides.

The Men’s Program was launched early in 2021, with the intent to set the foundation for men to explore their personal, cultural, and professional identities.

The program offers men from our community a safe space where emotional healing and personal development can take place.

Witnessing the success of the Men’s Program, we launched the Women’s Program in 2022.

The program has organically developed into a space facilitating the healing of personal trauma, personal development, and building trust.

The Dennegeur Elgin Shale Fynbos Restoration Nursery aims to repopulate the conservation areas on the farm with indigenous flora.

The nursery reflects the farm’s emphasis on Sustainable Farming Practices, and minimising our environmental impact.
